Hello Summit Bikers,Next week, June 21 we are doing Tour De Soda. Plan to meet at North Pond (Silverthorne on right side of Route 9, near the elementary school) at 9:30 am, ready to ride. The route takes us to the River Run Area of Keystone, out to the Old Ranch House, through Soda Creek and back to our cars. Please print out the directions below and have them with you. There are a number of turns but once you ride through it is not that complicated. Some changes are in this years ride so all should have. I realize this is not as easy as most of our rides to follow but does take you to some new places. There are lots of new members this year and I ask each of you to make a special effort to make them fell welcome. Wear name tags so people get to know each other better. The fit kits will be available at this ride. Shirts are selling nicely so do not be left out when we all ride with them.Anyone interested in taking a few rides please let me know at bikebreck@yahoo.com. I have directions an information about all our rides but after many years of doing this could use assistance.TOUR DE SODABike path from North Pond up damTurn left at top of damBike Path to River Run Area of Keystone(some may prefer different routes)Turn around at River Run (water and restrooms available)On road through Mountain House Area andpast area where we normally weave through the fenceTo Keystone Ranch House RoadJust before the Ranch Restaurant turn left to stay onKeystone Ranch House Road Go to end and returnAt River Run Golf Course weave through fenceYou should be on Elk Spur LaneGo straight / left at Elk CircleGo left on River Course Drive and stay to far right onwhat appears to be a sidewalk (It is the communitypath and may have gravel)Stay on path until the end and go right (It looks like agolf path) and is steep in placesStay straight on the path crossing over a roadAfter passing Buck Ridge bear right onto red pavementAt end of red pavement turn left on Cove BlvdLeft onto Summit DriveLeft onto Vail CircleLeft onto Summit Drive / Cove BlvdLeft on Whispering Pines Ranch RoadLeft on Forest Glen RoadRight on Royal Coachman BlvdAt Coachman Court get on bike pathReturn to the dam and at the stop lightLeft on Wilderness RoadRight on Adams (next stop light)Left on 6th StreetRight on Brain AveRight on AnnieLeft on AdamsRight on Ruby Ranch RoadGo across Route 9Left on Blue River Circle andReturn to StartThe route should take about 2 to 2.5 hours.
