Swan Mountain Road will be closed to all traffic starting Tuesday, May 17 through Friday, May 20. The contractor (Columbine Hills Concrete) is scheduled to start pouring the concrete curb and gutter from the Sapphire Point parking area, working down the hill. Work will continue on this approximate 2,000 ft section until completed, at which time the road will re-open to one-lane traffic. This is the first of multiple full closures, and I will keep all posted on the schedule for the next one.
Also, please use extreme caution if riding Swan Mtn Road during construction.
