Hello Summit Bikers,
Sorry but just as I sent out the ride for next week, I was notified parking at the Breckenridge Recreational Center is very tight currently as they work on the ball fields. Thank you, Pam Paling. The parking and the route had to be changed. In addition, we will have no picnic since there are no picnic tables close to the parking.
Next week we are riding the hills of the Highlands near Breckenridge Golf Course. There are some wonderful views and houses to see along this route.
START INFO:
Summit High School, south parking lot next to the football field. There are restrooms by the entrance to the football field. I checked and they were open today. Note: Breckenridge put out a sign with warning to cyclist to stop at all stop signs.
Please arrive in time to ready to pedal at 9:30AM.

Access rec path from the road leaving the parking lot headed South. I will lead this portion since we have not parked here previously.
Left on the rec path
Left at Valley Brook (just before Breck Rec Center)
Stop at traffic signal at corner of Valley Brook & HWY 9
Cross HWY 9 & ride UPHILL on Highlands Drive
Right on Dyer Trail
Left on Rounds Road
Right on Highlands Drive
Right to continue on Highlands Drive
Right on Fairways Drive
Left on Gold Run Road
Right at fork onto Hamilton Court
Right at fork onto Discovery Hill
(ride all the way to the top, or as far as you like, u-turn and ride back down)
Left at Hamiton Court
Right on Gold Run Road
Left at Tiger Road
Cross Rt 9 at light
Right at Rec path
Return to start
I checked much of this route out Monday, and it is challenging with some wonderful view of Summit County off of Discovery Hill.
