Wanting to continue the success of the last 2 rides, the Guthrie Ride Committee is soliciting volunteers to chair the Food and Beverage Committee. If interested please read the info below and help continue the accomplishments of prior years. Wes and Rita Adams who chaired the committee the first 2 years stand ready to share their experiences and information gained as chairs with the person(s) selected.
Volunteer (s) are needed to chair the Food and Beverage Committee for the August, 2010 Bob Guthrie Memorial Bike Ride.
Experience the rewards of contributing to this important undertaking.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Planning:
Size food donations, facilities, and volunteer workforce to feed riders and volunteers in a timely and efficient manner.
Coordinate F&B plans with other committees.
Participate in overall event planning.
2. Provisioning:
Obtain food and beverage donations from local restaurants.
Assure that donations arrive at the event venue.
3. Operational Administration and Oversight:
Sign up workforce.
Develop and assign volunteer tasks.
Day of event F&B volunteer training and assistance.
The current chaircouple strongly suggests that the responsibly be split into two committees; Provisioning and Operations.
