Hello Summit Bikers,
This week we are having the meeting of the Summit Bikers along with our weekly Monday ride. The ride will be held at the Senior Center starting at 9:30 am. Please be ready to ride on time. The official ride is around the lake, although some may want to ride to Dillon and back. The final path on the high school side of Sapphire Point is not completed and there is a place where heavy equipment uses the path (about a half mile past where the path crosses Swan Mountain Road on the Keystone side). I road the path in both directions last weekend and enjoyed both of them. Going counter clock wise the climbing lane is larger, and going clock wise you have the rec path most of the way, except for the down hill portion to the high school where you are riding with traffic. As Norm pointed out earlier in an email the new pavement is very nice.
Plan to be back at the Senior Center by 11:30 for the start of the meeting. This will be an important meeting for everyone to learn what the club has been doing and new things on the agenda. Bring your own sandwich and something to drink so you can have lunch during the meeting. Do not bring something to share this time as we are not prepared to handle this.
If by chance we have bad weather on Monday the meeting will still be held.
